been meening to repost as we got banned from the club as we had a cpl of bad nights one night got caught up in a fight and was asked to leave our friends upset one of the regulars. people will say we are biased so will tell full story our friends wife was pole dancing ok a bit tipsy she was enjoying her self and as she very sexy we wasnt complaining when she finished a regular who was also worse for the drink chucked a penny at her i think alot of people would take afence.secound night me and my partner and a few outhers were playing on the beds when we got of we were all covered in black muck we mentioned it to management and all they could say is we like to be mucky at alantis aparently they had been stripping paint off that weekend nice to no they change the sheets !!not sure of the date its about right weve move on chameleons and utopias

we've bin to this club 3-4 times now and find it a great place like the review above says its only downfall is that it closes too early besides a brill place to visit well worth it and some great peeps there

We had our first visit to Atlantis this weekend. Having come across the website we decided to check it out. We had a fair way to travel, but the directions were really good, and we had no problem finding it. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist, who enrolled us, talking to us as a friend, really putting us at ease.

From here, we went to the upstairs bar, where we were introduced to some of the regulars, who again were very friendly. A member of staff then showed us around the 2 floors. Upstairs is the bar and 2 secluded areas to play in, one with an area with huge big cushions and the other has 2 beds in. It is really nicely done out and gives a cosy feel to the place. In the bar area are sofas and coffee tables, giving a relaxing atmosphere.

Downstairs there’s a swinging bed which is great fun, and lots of seating areas where you can sit and talk to anyone and everyone. In one corner, there’s a room with seats around where there’s a telly showing naughty movies to get you into the “swing” of things. This was my favourite room – with twinking lights on the ceiling and a fluorescent light bringing the sensual pictures on the wall to life.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening, with no pressure from anyone, and we’ll definitely be going again.

We've been to this club on Fridays 3 or 4 times now and enjoyed each visit. It's not as busy as we would like so we're going to try a Saturday sometime soon. However, compared to what we've heard about some other clubs in NW we like this place. You have to have proof of address etc to join which we like - makes it feel safer. They don't normally let in wanky single nerds which is probably the biggest plus point (only night they are allowed is the fetish night I think). The layout etc is nice - two poles for dancing which makes it good fun. The hosts are really good fun and friendly - generally the place has a good party atmosphere - not at all seedy or grotty. Theme nights are really good fun as well - schoolgirls, fashion show, etc - makes the night a bit more interesting. Swing, suspended bed, two dancefloors, dancing poles etc etc! Thank god no single blokes, no sauna and no jacuzzi - so no having to wander around in a towel - if I wanted to do that I'd go to my gym!

So, generally a really nice club - really should be much busier so hopefully will get more popular!

my wife & i visited the club recently on a friday & saturday. we live only 30mins away so we really were hoping for the best,but we were disappointed to be honest there would of been more action in the wine bars in hanley which was really what it was a drinking place & not much else. it is also in a very residential area & which i believe locals have tried to close it down,so its a little uncomfortable! ps---we have been swinging for 3years & are happy with soft or full swing. guess what--we will not be going again!!!!!

first rate club excellent night out. we live in nottingham and its worth the trip over, very friendly club relaxed comfortable five star rating . we have visited outher clubs and left early because Caz didnt feel safe left on her own. so couldnt relax, but weve been to alantis three times, we are there at opening and dont leave till closing . havent been able to stop over in stoke unfortunately due to work comitmants but even thou up early next morning still find us leaving at closing time hope anyone who reads this comes along to the club. you wont regret it dont forget to say hello to us both feel free to email us

ATLANTIS CLUB - STOKE We saw the link for the Atlantis website on Davids site. The Atlantis website is well set out and we were able to take clear directions to the venue from the relevant link. Having read the reviews, we decided to give it a try. We telephoned in advance and left a message on the answer machine. The host then telephoned me back the following evening. I was pleased as to how discreet he was at the start of the phonecall making sure that I was the person that had left the message. We had a brief chat about the etiquette of the club and were looking forward to our visit the following night. We arrived at the club at shortly after nine. It was easy to find nearby parking and the entrance to the club. We rang the doorbell and were greeted with a warm welcome. We had already filled in the online membership application form and upon proof of identification, were made members within a few minutes. The owner/host gave us a guided tour of the establishment and left us by the bar. The layout and cleanliness of the club impressed us. The downstairs is like a small nightclub with bar and dance floor and 3 discreet playrooms off it. The music was of various types and not too loud to drown out conversation. We were told that the upstairs bar didn’t open until 11pm and the room was set out like a café bar with 2 more playrooms off it. The music downstairs was also being played upstairs but at a much lower volume making it easier for friendly conversation. The people were friendly and very nicely dressed. It was nice to see younger couples there as well as the slightly more mature as it gave a nice mixture of age groups. On the night we went the typical ages were approximately between 20 and 50 years old, with most tending to be under 40. The women were wearing some very nice outfits, most were showing plenty of sexy skin and the men were dressed smart but casual. The club did fill up quite early on in the evening. Most people taking advantage of the reduced entrance fee before 9.30pm. The club soon got into the swing of things (so to speak) and we had a really good night there. The atmosphere was very relaxing and friendly; it was easy to meet other people, chat and flirt etc. I would certainly recommend this club to anyone whether they have been to a swinging club before or not. There was no pressure to do anything and you were made to feel more than welcome by everyone. We are looking forward to our next visit and many more in the future.

Atlantis - Stoke on Trent

A long way from the south coast but definitely worth the trip. We went for two nights for the price of one which was a great idea because after a 4 hour drive on the Friday we were quite happy to just sit, watch, chat and drink.

The hosts are marvelous and put you at your ease straight away. All the members there were very friendly too. On the Friday night there was one slightly pushy couple who, it has to be said, were cold shouldered by the other members. They didn't show up again on the Saturday which demonstrates the way the club members enforce respect at all times.

 The Saturday night was much busier with plenty of action (the swinging bed got particularly well used) and we made some good friends.

 The club also has a great deal with a 3* hotel a couple of hundred yards away where couples can have a room for £39.95 per night.

 The only beef is that it closes at 2am and if you don't get there until 10pm, have a couple of drinks for Dutch courage, by the time you really get going, it's time to leave.

Otherwise we can't recommend it highly enough.

JoJo and I attended Atlantis on 12th January 2002. We had been given mixed verbal reviews, so we decided to go and check it out for ourselves.

The directions to the club were excellent, and accurate, and got us to a parking space without any wrong turnings.

A very nice change was that the entrance way, which is down a side street from a square in the town, was brightly lit and easy to find.

The security was discreet but welcome, and Maureen on the reception was very welcoming.

We were signed up quickly and then shown into the main lounge/dance/bar area.

We had a drink while we waited for Ed, the host, to finish his stint as DJ, he then greeted us and showed us around the facilities.

Behind the dance floor are 2 curtained off play areas, one with a swing, the other with a bed.

On the upper level is another bar/lounge area and 2 further playrooms.

The environment was friendly, and we were greeted very pleasantly by more than half of the people there. (The others were already busy in their own groups, so there is no criticism in that statement) We played with each other on this occasion, but made friends and exchanged emails/phone numbers with a few people to play away from the club.

The premises were clean and well kept. The hosts were friendly and keen for people to have a good time. The toilets were bright, clean and smelled nice.

I have only 2 bad points for the place, 1 is personally I don't like the music so loud - I had trouble hearing what people were saying to me, even when we were only 2 feet apart, it didn't make it very conducive to chatting someone into a playroom when you had to shout to be heard. The other was the early closing - most clubs these days close at about 4am, so it came as a bit of a shock at 2am when the lights started coming on, and hints were made that it was time to go.

(Comments from Ed:-The night you visited was unusually quiet, probably around half of our normal crowd. Don't ask me why...  Murphy's Law, I guess. The point is that we try to provide a "Loud" area downstairs, and a quieter area upstairs where couples can have a chat. Because things were not too busy on that Saturday, we encouraged people to stay downstairs to avoid losing the atmosphere. Under normal circumstances, the members are split between the floors some going upstairs to chat, and others staying downstairs for the party atmosphere. However, none of this makes your comments less valid, and I shall canvass come customer comment and implement any necessary changes.
